Paper Ghosts

Group Reviews/Comments:
Realistic; I liked Texas settings, liked how Carl taunted Grace. I enjoyed it.
I liked the book. Slow start; but had to wonder–who is the crazy person here, Carl or Grace? Carl was so cunning–I liked him and his love of that dog was so sweet. But the road trip aspect was unconvincing. But it did keep you wondering…sad ending.
Thought I wasn’t going to like it but I did! Grace’s vision is narrowed by her obsession but in turn it leads us to the solution. The ending made sense. I liked the use of photography as art–this was done well.
I didn’t like it at all! But, listening to all the group reviews I think it would make a good movie! The book was terrifying. So unsettling. Liked the Texas imagery. West Texas bleakness–perfect setting for this.
I liked it and the use of photos. Some of it felt repetitive. I liked how different it was but the ending was disappointing. A cop out!
The personalities of Carl and Grace fed Grace’s obsession even more. Didn’t enjoy this book, I don’t like reading about serial murders.
The setting intertwined with the story really well. Loved how the photography was woven in. Scary! Cabin part was terrifying. I liked Carl more than Grace. Overall I enjoyed it.
Really enjoyed it! Really suspenseful. Carl was a very well written character. The ending was too pat, though. Too much coincidence.
Very unnerving, unsettling, crazy–but I had to keep reading! A journey of mental disease.
Creep factor 100! Couldn’t read this before bed. Good psychological thriller but not a mystery.
Couldn’t read it–too terrifying!
Evoked the time of Ted Bundy here in Seattle–I couldn’t read the book.
