Way too long. Hard to start. Improved about 300 pages in. I liked the characters okay, and I was surprised about the killer. Okay sense of place.

I struggled with this book. Torture, children being hurt…too upsetting. Ending was implausible. Too creepy.

I liked it. But is was hard to keep plot lines straight. I liked the writing and there were some really interesting characters.

I couldn’t finish it in time for group. But I liked the writing and will continue reading. The writer has a way with words.

I liked the premise of the story and the main characters and the whole group of characters. There were funny bits that I liked.
