aka Funerals are Fatal
By Agatha Christie
Book 29 in the Hercule Poirot series

I felt for the murderer.

I liked it. Could have been contemporary with the rich complaining about the “help.” Love that Christie gives you a chance to solve the mystery. Felt bad for the murderer. Liked the pace, characters, who did it, why did it, etc.

Really a commentary on how well you can know someone you live with. Fascinating approach to murder. Really see how desperate the murderer was. Murderer really psychologically interesting. Nuanced.

Felt like a jigsaw puzzle. Or sleight of hand by a magician. By the end, you could see how it was done.

I liked it. All the things connected.

Loved Lanscome’s narration. Surprised with how many suspects there were and how greedy everyone was. So much happened! Miss Gilchrist was a fascinating character and I had a lot of compassion for her.

Liked the psychological aspect of it.

I enjoyed it. Not the best Poirot, but interesting villain.

Murderer so devious! Pace slow. Didn’t predict the ending. Tired story. Missed Poirot.

Saw all the red herrings but I still didn’t put it together!

Didn’t like this as much as other Christie’s. Prefer when Poirot is the main character.
