Most Anticipated for 2018

Literary Hub just released it’s “Most Anticipated Crime, Mystery and Thriller Novels of 2018”.    Here is the link:  http://lithub.com/the-most-anticipated-crime-mystery-and-thriller-titles-of-2018/

What are you looking most forward too?  My hotly anticipated list is made up of series entries in some of my favorites:

Hall of Mirrors, by Christopher Fowler.  Release date March 22, 2018.
This series addition is set in 1969 so we get a chance to meet a young Bryant and May. I can’t wait (and Wild Chamber, which was just released in 2017, is on hold at SPL for me!)  I love this bizarre duo!  Update:  1/27/18  I have just finished Wild Chamber and have to say was a bit disappointed.  Bryant is in top form but May is barely distinguishable from a background character.  The writing is top form but the story drags a bit for me.  It’s missing some of the deeply esoteric feel past novels have instilled.  There is a nice layer about old London but somehow it feels like it’s come up short.  Still looking forward to Hall of Mirrors, though![spacer height=”20px”]The Dark Angel, by Elly Griffiths. Release date May 2018. I adore this series and having read the last installment recently (Chalk Pit) has just made me eager for more!  Ruth is such a great female lead.[spacer height=”20px”]I’ll Keep You Safe, by Peter May. Release date March 2018. I love Peter May’s Lewis Trilogy and our book group recently read Coffin Road. This new release is also a stand alone and I’ll gobble it up as soon as possible![spacer height=”20px”]The Grave’s a Fine and Private Place, by Alan Bradley. Release date January 30, 2018! I’ll follow Flavia to the ends of the earth.[spacer height=”20px”]Careless Love, by Peter Robinson. Release date July 2018. Stay tuned for a book review post for Peter Robinson’s endlessly entertaining series. The last installment, Sleeping In The Ground, was awesome.[spacer height=”20px”]Wild Fire, Ann Cleeves. Release date September 2018. Another Shetland installment. I can’t get enough of Jimmy Perez. Don’t we all just want Jimmy to find the happiness he deserves?

What are you looking forward to for 2018?
