The Darwin Affair

I feel neutral about it. The author put the clues out early but then didn’t do much with them. No loose ends, though.

Light and horrifying at the same time.

Took a while to get started and I had to keep reading to keep track of the characters. I did like it. I like that the Field character was flawed. Great historical fiction. I enjoyed the mystery.

I’m not a huge fan of graphic violence. This wasn’t really a mystery, more of a historic procedural. The mood and sense of place was well done.
