The theme of this book is Deceit. People weren’t who they said they were. I liked the ending. I enjoyed it.
I liked this one. Every story was a little unsettling. Intriguing.
I really liked it. I liked the mathematical components. I liked the various stories and the mystery within the mystery.
I liked the analysis of mystery stories and I liked the different endings. I liked all the layered meanings. Fun.
Did not enjoy this. The female characters were all inappropriately nosy and aggressive. Book was filled with not well done similes.
Felt like a love letter to the mystery genre.
Enjoyed alternate endings.
I enjoyed it. I liked the short stories so much I would forget the larger picture. The twists and turns were amusing.
I really did not like it. The writing was oddly stilted. The premise ridiculous. None of the stories were enjoyable. The “homage” to Christie comes across as cheap imitation.
The math part left me cold. I read stories for people, not math. Not my kind of story. Writing was pedestrian.
Great introduction to the mystery genre. I didn’t like the very direct writing style.
