The Thursday Murder Club
Loved the premise, distinct voices, setting, humor, cops/amateur relationships and rivalries. But, lots of new characters at the end which made it hard to keep up. I didn’t like how Chris kind of “checked out” at the end. Too many twists at the end. Too much of “The Elizabeth Show” at the end.
Characters were surprising; I loved it!
Disappointed. But, maybe I built it up too much before reading. Too many false endings. So many well developed characters–full fledged older characters!
The idea was great but felt watered down. The end was confusing. Elizabeth and Bogden were great characters. I did not like the use of diary, didn’t see the need.
The end got me really confused. I did like Joyce’s diary and the development of the characters.
I love this book. I like how it made me feel.
Elizabeth character a little over the top for me, but I loved the portrayal of the elderly. Delightful.
Loved it. A great joy. Great feeling after reading this book. The book is a commentary on getting older. Also, liked that it wasn’t typical criminal justice.
The diary was a good way to flesh out Joyce’s character, given her personality.
